About the Artist
Biography
Born in Quebec City in 1969, she now lives in Saint-Nicolas on Quebec's South Shore.
From an early age, she developed a keen interest in drawing. Many of her childhood memories refer to the pleasure of drawing and creating. Her artistic talent led her to study Clothing Art, then Advertising Design, which only confirmed her need to express herself through the arts. A few years in the graphic arts world and a job as a specifier for architects and designers gave her some assets, but failed to satisfy her real and
increasingly pervasive need to devote herself entirely to her passion.
In 2001, her first contact with painting quickly proved to be a great encounter. She spends all her spare time painting, piling up incredible quantities of canvases that only she knows exist.
In 2005, she had the privilege of taking classes with the painter Emmanuel Garant, who gave her great confidence in her talent. At the time, her desire to paint human expression and the soul was very present. She paints people of different nationalities with great passion. The spirituality and intensity of the Tibetan people's expression animate her to the utmost.
In 2007, she was recognized by a gallery owner who gave her the start by exhibiting her work. Since then, each step has confirmed that her art is an integral part of her life. Quietly, we can see that she is slowly moving away from the precision of a face or a look, to give greater depth to the artwork as a whole. Femininity plays an important role in her work, and her sensuality and intensity leave no one indifferent. It's only recently that she has reoriented her career so that she can finally fulfill herself and make a living
from her art.
Looking to a future filled with short- and long-term projects and bursting with creative energy, she hopes this will open a window on the international scene. Over the years, she has won many awards and numerous paintings have been sold abroad, including in Australia, Panama, the United States and across Canada. For the past 2005 years, she has been represented in art galleries and has taken part in many private and group events and exhibitions.

“In my studio, time stands still. Like all creators, there's an inner fire that I fan tirelessly.
Every brushstroke is an outpouring, a release. Something from inside that words can't
describe. In my perception of painting, there are few premeditations, few intentions.
The canvas is made and unmade, built up only to be erased, tirelessly until harmony
imposes itself. I have a great need for striking contrasts, often obtained by using a
palette of rich colors applied with a spatula to give volume and luminosity to the color.
Always in a hurry, my canvases always come together very spontaneously... I'm
particularly fond of the quest for human expression and femininity to express, in my
own way, the emotion of the moment”.
